Edit a Thon

1. Team Composition:

Each team must consist of 3 members.


2. Theme and Content:
The theme for the video will be provided at the start of the competition.
Videos must adhere to the given theme. Off-theme submissions will be disqualified.
All content, including footage, audio, and images, must be original.
Offensive, inappropriate, or obscene content will not be tolerated and will lead to disqualification.

3. Video Specifications:
Length: The video must be between 1 - 1.5 minutes.
Format: The final submission must be in MP4 format.

Resolution: Minimum video resolution should be 720p or 4k.
Recording: Videos must be recorded using mobile phones only.

4. Editing:
All video editing must be done by the team members using Capcut.
Use of external software, or third-party assistance is not allowed.
Special effects, transitions, and creative edits are encouraged but should not overshadow the storytelling.

5. Time Limit:
Teams will have 3 hours to complete and submit their video after the theme is announced.
Late submissions will not be accepted unless a valid reason is provided, and approval is given by the organizing team.

6. Submission Guidelines:
Videos must be submitted through Google Drive.


7. Judging Criteria:
Creativity and Originality: How unique and innovative the concept is.
Storytelling: How well the theme is interpreted and conveyed.
Production Quality: Includes editing, use of music, transitions, and overall video quality.


8. Disqualification:
Any form of cheating, or failure to follow the rules will result in immediate disqualification.
Teams engaging in disruptive behavior or violating the event’s code of conduct may be disqualified.

9. Decision:
The decision of the judges will be final and cannot be challenged.
